Summer Skillman is a public servant and leader with expertise in training, technical assistance, and communications in child nutrition. A U.S. Navy veteran, she later served at USDA’s Food and Nutrition Service, where she supported the Patrick Leahy Farm to School Program and led data-driven program integrity and innovation efforts focused on clear data storytelling and transparency. She currently serves as Training and Initiatives Coordinator at the Virginia Department of Education, supporting educators and building programs that strengthen school nutrition and communities across the Commonwealth.
