Mary Brandenburg has served as the Director of Population Health for the Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association (VHHA) Foundation since July 2022. In this role, she supports Virgnia hospitals through a variety of learning collaboratives and works with hospital leaders to advance sustainable population health and health equity programming across the Commonwealth. She is passionate about improving the quality and systems of care for all Virginians, with a particular focus on chronic disease management and maternal and child health. Prior to joining VHHA, Mary served as the Director of Population Health Operations at Augusta Health and was the operational lead for Augusta Care Partners, an Accountable Care Organization in Augusta County, Virginia. Mary earned her undergraduate degrees in Sociology and German from Guilford College. She has more than 10 years' experience working in Virginia hospitals and serves on the Board of Directors of the Community Action Partnership of Staunton, Augusta, and Waynesboro (CAPSAW) and the Virginia Neonatal Perinatal Collaborative.
