Nicole is the Nutrition Benefits Access Coordinator for the Federation of Virginia Food Banks. In this role, she enhances public awareness of Federal nutrition programs to increase access and participation in the Commonwealth. Previously, she served as the Food Safety and Quality Manager at Greenswell Growers, a local donor of leafy greens. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Technology from Virginia Tech with a strong background in food and agricultural development. In college, she was active in efforts to address food insecurity in the New River Valley area. She is excited to use her experience and passion for the mission to help more Virginians access the programs they need to thrive.

Nicole strives to educate the community about the importance of utilizing the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program to access healthy foods and lift families out of poverty. She hopes to empower income-eligible folks to access the benefits they deserve to provide a positive impact on their health, community, and the economy.
