Mia D. Bailey joined the State Government Affairs team at Charter Communications in 2016 as a Director of State Government Affairs in North Carolina, Virginia, and Maryland. In this position, Mia continues to build upon her 20+ years of experience lobbying state legislatures and in the local government space.



A teacher at heart, Mia, has the privilege of working with elected officials to shape policy while sharing exciting developments in the technology and telecommunications industry.



A crusader for equity and inclusion, Mia pursues this passion personally and professionally by lending her time and talents on the Board of Directors for; the Kramden Institute, the Urban League of Central Carolinas, Easter Seals PORTH Health, the NC Cable Telecommunications Association (Vice Chair), the NC Professional Lobbyist Association, and as the immediate past chair of the Downtown Housing Improvement Corporation (DHIC) and as a former member of the Board for the SE Raleigh Promise and the SE Raleigh YMCA.

A graduate of Shaw University and North Carolina State University, Mia lives in Raleigh with her family.
