Louis Green serves as the Director of People & Culture at the Virginia Poverty Law Center (VPLC), where he guides statewide efforts to strengthen workplace culture, accountability, and organizational effectiveness across Virginia’s twelve legal aid programs. With more than a decade of experience in people-focused leadership, he has designed and championed initiatives that elevate employee voice, enhance organizational practices, and ensure that individuals from a wide range of lived experiences can thrive. Key aspects of his work include prioritizing the employee experience by supporting both professional growth and personal well-being; shaping workplace culture so that legal aid organizations remain positive, supportive, and aligned with shared values; fostering employee engagement through strategies that keep staff motivated, connected to purpose, and empowered to contribute their best work; and promoting inclusivity and well-being by embedding fairness, accessibility, and mental health support into organizational systems.
