Olivia Seksinsky is the Managing Director of the Health, Public Benefits, and Elder Law Practice at Central Virginia Legal Aid Society (CVLAS) in Richmond, Virginia. Olivia hails from Charlotte, North Carolina, and she moved to Virginia for her education, receiving her B.A. and B.S. from Virginia Tech and her law degree from the University of Richmond School of Law. In law school, Olivia was heavily involved with pro bono work and interned with the disAbility Law Center and the Legal Aid Justice Center.
Olivia began her career with CVLAS in November 2021, entering the practice of housing law during the Covid-19 pandemic and the Commonwealth’s state of emergency. In her first year of practice, Olivia assisted nearly 100 tenants in avoiding eviction and helped her clients obtain approximately $463,575 in rental assistance funds. Olivia is a published author having researched and written an article for the University of Richmond Public Interest Law Review delving into the disparate impact of lease terminations following the end of the Virginia Rent Relief Program in the summer of 2022. In addition to providing direct representation to Central Virginian tenants, Olivia has hosted community education sessions for tenants, and she has delivered trainings on landlord-tenant law to hundreds of tenant advocates across the state.
Olivia started as the Managing Director of CVLAS’s Health, Public Benefits, and Elder Law Practice in June 2025. Much of her practice is focused on helping Virginia families access and preserve their public benefits and affordable healthcare. Also in this role, Olivia serves as one of the legal providers for the VCU Health Medical Legal Partnership, and she advises and represents VCU Health patients and their families in a variety of housing, family, and consumer matters.
In her spare time, Olivia enjoys cooking and crafting, playing Scrabble with her husband, and spending time with her pet rabbit, Willy.
