Hello ASC Attendees,

Thank you so much for joining us for the 46th Annual Statewide Legal Aid Conference, both in Roanoke and virtually! I hope you had a great time learning and connecting with colleagues from across the state and beyond. I wanted to make sure everyone knows where to find the conference materials, CLE forms, and session recordings.

Conference Materials:

As we compile all the great session materials from our presenters – PowerPoints, handouts, recordings, and much more – you will receive an email over the next few weeks with all materials once they are finalized. For now, you can find some of the materials for the CLE sessions here.  Materials are updated as presenters send them in, so keep checking back if you don’t see something.

For CLEs (PLEASE read if this applies to you):

In the link above, there is a folder called “CLE Forms” where you’ll find the forms attorneys need to submit to the Virginia State Bar (VSB) for credit. We do not report CLEs on your behalf; it is the attorney’s individual responsibility to follow VSB’s rules for completing the appropriate form and submitting your attendance. The QR codes in-person attendees scanned during the conference were just to confirm attendance in case of an audit, not to submit your CLE credits.

There are separate forms for attending in-person and virtually, and there is also a PDF in the folder that shows you all the CLE sessions that were available during the conference. Forms for any on-demand sessions will be added later once submitted and approved; they will be available for the next CLE year beginning November 1st.

Outside of the 2 credit Ethics session, all CLE sessions are worth 1.5 CLEs. If some of the sessions you attended were not CLEs, be sure to adjust the total credits on the form so that it reflects only the total number of CLE hours you joined. Other than the sessions, “From Stress to Strength: How to Avoid Burnout and Build Resilience” – Thursday, 10/23 at 10:30am; approved for 1.5 well-being CLES – and “What Happens When your Duty to Zealously Represent your Client COLLIDES with your Responsibility as an Officer of the Legal System” – Friday, 10/24 at 10:30am; approved for 2 Ethics CLEs – all other CLE-eligible sessions are general CLEs.

For help calculating your CLE credits, you can refer to VSB’s MCLE Regulations (Regulation 102 found here).

If you have any questions on submitting CLEs, please contact MyMCLE@vsb.org

Session Recordings:

Recordings will be shared with all attendees as they are edited and processed. This will take some time, but we will send a follow-up email when all videos are available.
