Theresa Mercaldo is the Purchasing Coordinator for Chesterfield County Public Schools Food & Nutrition Services where she handles the procurement of all food, supplies and kitchen equipment needed to provide meals for our students. Prior to joining Chesterfield, she spent 15 years at Dori Foods in Richmond, VA. There, she wore many hats, but her main focus was managing the Army Airforce Exchange account and overseeing all State and K-12 contracts. She added purchasing to the roster when COVID hit. She finds purchasing is very much like juggling most days, but also says it’s fun because she gets to work with many vendor friends she’s made over the last 18 years!
