Description
- "Cross-Sector Collaboration to Improve Population Health"
- Objectives:
- Explore the intersection of “food security” and “food is medicine” – where do the goals of the health system and food access organizations diverge, where do they overlap, and what are the opportunities for collaboration?
- Discuss policy changes that need to happen at the state and federal level to achieve sustainable impact. How can we advocate for these changes together?
- Identify investments that need to be made now to realize a seamless ecosystem of nutrition supports for individuals.
- Summary
The closing plenary will inspire attendees to act, innovate, and form partnerships to advance the Food is Medicine movement in Virginia. Together, the panelists will craft a long-term vision for an effective and impactful ecosystem of support. They will then describe the steps necessary to achieve this vision and the critical roles of stakeholders throughout the continuum of care, focusing on the infrastructure and connective tissue that has yet to be realized.
